5 Most Amazing Chocolate Coffee Desserts (Recipe)

If you haven’t tried it already, pairing some chocolate with coffee in desserts is a great way to end a meal. The taste of coffee perfectly complements the cocoa in chocolate by neutering its bitterness and enhancing its deep-seated flavors. As such, many recipes for chocolate-based foods include some coffee in them to help the fruity and spicy notes to shine through. 1) Cappucino Popsicles

What you’ll need:

  1. 1 cup of water
  2. 2/3 cup sugar
  3. 2 tbsp of corn syrup
  4. 1 cup milk
  5. 1 tsp cinnamon
  6. 2 tbsp espresso powder
  7. A cup of vanilla almond milk.

To make these popsicles:

  1. Make some sugar corn syrup by
    boiling the water and sugar together until the latter dissolves completely.
  2. After letting the solution cool
    for a few minutes, add the corn syrup
  3. Take 3/4th of this mixture and
    add the espresso powder to it — mix and cool.
  4. In the remaining 1/4th syrup,
    pour the almond milk and cinnamon.
  5. Whisk the mixture to make sure
    the ingredients mix appropriately.
  6. Use popsicle molds and fill
    each slot with half of both mixtures and freeze for at least 6 hours.

2) Affogatos

This is by far the most straightforward
recipe on this list.

It requires only two ingredients:

  1. Vanilla ice cream
  2. Espresso

To make these coffee and chocolate desserts :

  1. You just pour the espresso over
    ice cream, and you’re done!
  2. Sprinkle some breadcrumbs,
    biscotti, or crushed nuts at the end to top it off.

Despite the simple recipe, there is plenty of room for experimentation here. You can mix the espresso with some hazelnut liqueur or amaretto, and pour the mixture on ice cream, or use whipped cream to garnish the affogato along with some nuts.

3) Coffee Fudge

What you’ll need:

  1. 400 ml condensed milk
  2. 150 ml milk
  3. 120 grams of unsalted butter
  4. 450 grams of demerara sugar
  5. 2 and a half tablespoons of coffee essence
  6. Chocolate coffee beans (optional)

To make the coffee and chocolate desserts :

  1. Mix the almond milk, milk,
    butter, and sugar in a vessel on medium heat.
  2. Once the sugar has dissolved,
    by raising the temperature, then simmer for around 15 minutes.
  3. Keep stirring the mixture to
    avoid it sticking on the bottom of your pan. To test whether your solution has
    achieved the right texture, drop small amounts of it in cold water and see if
    it turns into a tiny ball.
  4. Once it does, turn the heat off
    and add the essence.
  5. Beat the mixture till you get the
    right consistency.
  6. Spread it out on a saucepan
    covered with greaseproof paper.
  7. Wait till it cools, and cut
    into the desired shape.

4) Mocha Cookies

What you’ll need:

  1. 6 tbsp butter
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  4. 1 egg, e) 1 cup flour
  5. 1 tsp baking soda
  6. 1/4 tsp salt
  7. 2 tbsp coffee powder

To make the coffee and chocolate desserts :

  1. Take a bowl and whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda together.
  2. In another bowl, take the butter and mix with some sugar till it dissolves.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, egg, and coffee powder.
  4. Stir and combine the two bowls before refrigerating the mixture for around 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350* F, and meanwhile, take the dough and extract one teaspoon at a time using a warm tablespoon.
  6. Form cookies out of these by washing your hands in cold water.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes and cool.

5) Chocolate Brownies

What you’ll need:

  1. 600 grams unsalted butter
  2. 450 grams unsweetened chocolate
  3. 5 1/2 cups sugar
  4. 16 eggs
  5. 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  6. 1 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 3 3/4 cup flour
  8. 220g bittersweet chocolate
  9. 220 grams milk chocolate
  10. Chop all chocolates into half-inch pieces.

To make these coffee and chocolate desserts:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300* F and cover your baking pans with parchment paper.
  2. Take a saucepan and mix the butter and unsweetened chocolate well on low heat.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Add the contents of the first bowl and whisk till the texture smoothens.
  5. Add the flour and whisk again.
  6. Take 140 grams of milk and bittersweet chocolate and add that as well.
  7. Make brownie shapes from the batter, and prepare to bake.
  8. Take the remaining chocolate and microwave in different bowls till they melt.
  9. Drizzle this chocolate onto the brownies.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes, ensure both sides are heated and enjoy!
